The Treehouses

There are five treehouses available at Ryckevelde, all of which are identical. Each treehouse features a comfortable king-size bed with bedding for two people, a light, a power plug, and a balcony with two chairs. While breakfast and dinner are not included, they can be added as an extra option. To encourage a deeper connection with nature and with each other, there is no Wi-Fi available. Each treehouse offers the same amenities, but my personal favorite is Kasteelzicht because it provides a stunning view of the castle.

The treehouses at Ryckevelde do not have toilets or showers. Guests are required to use the facilities at Parkcafé, which consists of three cabins. Two of the cabins are toilets, and one of them is a shower. Additionally, there is a small sink and a tiny mirror located outside the cabins, enhancing the overall treehouse experience.

Food and drinks can be conveniently ordered at the Parkcafé, which is a delightful bar and restaurant located nearby. If you have included breakfast in your reservation, it will be served at the Parkcafé as well.

Here’s a suggested route: Exit Parkcafé and turn right towards the castle. Turn left at the castle and follow the long lane that leads to the main street. Cross the main street and you will come across the beautiful “Count’s Castle of Male.” This castle holds great historical significance, dating back to 862.
