The Backpack

Packing for an adventure can be the ultimate nightmare for many people. However, it is one of the most important aspects of any adventure and is therefore worth thinking about. It’s a fact that the lighter you pack, the more comfort you get. The packing choices you make depend on your destination, as a tropical destination requires completely different packing needs compared to a winter destination. Investing in travel gear could save you money on paying for extra luggage if you intend to travel frequently.

I once traveled for 15 weeks around the world with only hand luggage. The bright side of packing light is that you save money on transportation, save time and avoid long lines by not checking in luggage, and eliminate the risk of lost luggage during transportation. The downside is that you may end up doing a lot of laundry!

The key to packing light is to only bring the things you need and leave everything else at home. In this section, you will find a comprehensive list of all the things I bring on my adventures. I recommend that you create your own list of things you need, print it out, and spread out all the items you plan to bring with you. This will give you a good idea of what you’re actually carrying with you and make packing easier.

The following list will provide you with an idea of how I pack my backpacks, what kind of backpacks I use, the contents inside, and all the useful gadgets I bring with me.
